7. Course organisation – changes in programme or fees
For organisational reasons, the school administration reserves the
right to modify the programme, the current fees as well as the general
conditions.
We reserve the right to stop courses, regroup classes, charge the venue
or reduce the length of courses, in return for which a proportionate
reimbursement will be given (cf. following article).
8. Number of participants and cancellation
In order to assure the smooth running of our courses, we set for each
one of them a minimum number of participants as well as a maximum
number. Places will be attributed in the order of the arrival of
registrations.
If the number of participants is insufficient (criterion for a group =
minimum 4 persons), Language Links reserves the right to take adequate
measures of reorganisation. In general, the following changes will be
made :
- 3 participants : 45 minutes instead of 90 minutes, for the same fee
- 2 participants : 45 minutes instead of 90 minutes, at semi-private fee
- Less than 2 participants : course will be cancelled and reimbursed.
In case of the absence of a teacher, the school may arrange for a replacement.
9. Insurance
The student is responsible for his or her own accident, health or even
theft insurance. The school declines any responsibility in the case of
damage to or theft of a student’s personal effects.
10. Confirmation of attendance
Such confirmation will be given to any person who has attended 80 % of
the courses. A course may also be registered in your attendance booklet
from The Swiss Federation for Adult Learning (SFAL). In both cases,
however, the course must have taken place within the previous year.
11. Place of jurisdiction
For both parties the place of jurisdiction shall be Lausanne. All
possible legal procedures will be subject to Swiss Law. In case of
disagreement, the French-language version of the registration form and
the general conditions shall be valid.
